Life Outside of Misery. 10 Questions for the Weekend

  1. What is ok in my life right now?
  2. What do I have access to that I take for granted?
  3. Is there anything I can direct my attention to which is unproblematic (birdsong, the sensation of feet touching the ground, a warm cup of tea in my hands…)?
  4. Do I have to check the news/social media one more time or do I have enough information already and am drifting into overwhelm?
  5. What could I do instead to nourish the being so I can better support myself and others?
  6. Can I express kindness towards another in some way this weekend, no matter how small the gesture might seem? Remember one smile can make a huge difference to somebody’s day.
  7. Is there anybody in my life I take for granted?
  8. If yes – why not tell them that I love/appreciate them, since this might be the last day of my life?
  9. Which values are important to me?
  10. Which small step(s) can I take today?

Yes, there is suffering. Plenty of it. But never forget: freedom might be closer than you think.
